A year ago this month, I quit my full time job to pursue what has become my full time passion. And just like anyone who has left a secure paycheck to pursue their dreams, there was a bit of mystery and uncertainty that followed. As a man of faith, there were a few times that I had to lean heavily on God, trusting that He would provide my next job. In fact, I didn't have a single paid photography job in January or February (and I'm not the type to sit back and wait for something to come through, I was searching online, asking around and everything I knew how to do).
That was very scary.
But I made it through that rough season and I want say that we have a God who cares about our needs, and nothing slips past Him. I'm thankful for the busy seasons of this last year, and the months of learning more trust.
I wanted to share a few of my favorite shots from this year. I had the privilege of working with many different types of clients, which works out great for me, because I LOVE variety. I learned so much this year and welcomed uncomfortable situations. It's in those moments of freak out that we learn life-long lessons. My hope is that this little recap shows my diversity as a photographer. I truly believe once you learn what your camera can do, it opens up a whole new way to see the world.
I hope you enjoy my client recap. I'll be posting some of my favorite nature shots and portraits from the last year pretty soon. Thanks for checking my blog out and I'd appreciate you sending anyone my way that may need some professional photography. Peace.
